Kb2538242 win 105/15/2023 I used the program Notebook FanControl and got the same sporadic 12% of the fan speed sometime but nothing more. I'm not sure if they have changed the CPU fan profile. 303 I get 39/42 for CPU and 42/44 for GPU in the same condition and same ambient temperature of 28/30degC. However I noticed that before the update I had something close to 48/52 degC for CPU and 50/54 degC for GPU in Idle condition. Less than couple of minutes then got back to BIOS and pressed F9 and finally F10.Īpparently at the first glance I did not note any improvement: as I said I was not having problem with old BIOS and I didn't with the new one as well. Upon the machine reset I finally did the BIOS 303 update. I wanted to follow the 'G752_series_support_XG2_SOP.pdf' XG Station 2 section from ASUS download area, so I started from 'recommended' TBT driver (V16.2.55.275) and then I did the update of the TBT firmware. My initial situation was a little different as I was with latest Windows CU, build 15063.447 (KB4022716) already and with old BIOS ver 208. Well, although I didn't get issues with my G752VY I couldn't resist and I did the update. I don't think this fix would effect my cooling system in general? I'm pretty sure that the KB 4022716 update did fix some software/driver Issues I was having but these issues started after the KB2538242 update and included a few BSOD. I find this a significant improvement and am wondering if anyone else has noticed this improvement in Idle Temps after the 303 BIOS upgrade? I don't have anything installed that will read fan speeds, but I'm guessing that Asus has modified the CPU fan Profile? at least for the G752VY? Well now I am noticing that I'm running High 30's and mid 40's Idle Ambient temp 25.5C I keep my house at 78 F then it seem to have settled in to the mid 40's to 50's slot. This is from before any issues my CPU would run Mid 40's to Mid 50' Idle this was higher in the first month or so that I had the notebook. This MS update did solve the issue I was having with my core 0 Thread 2 running constantly at 80%+ Now a few days later I am noticing that my CPU temps are reduced by about 10C average. Then Last Tuesday MS comes out with KB4022716 update. the BIOS upgrade did not seem to solve this issue. Well I more or less did both of these the upgrade BIOS to 303, I was having an issue with one core running at 80%+ for over a week.
